Baha Mar recap: bachelorette weekend!

Where to stay:

At the Baha Mar in Nassau, Bahamas there are three resorts on the property, something to fit everyone’s price point and taste: the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar is the largest of the collection, Rosewood Baha Mar is  residential style, and (where we stayed) the SLS Baha Mar which, in my opinion, is the more ‘adult friendly’ option. My girlfriends and I were immediately impressed with the quality of the entire resort, but especially the GORGEOUS SLS. No matter where you stay on the property, you have access to all 6 of the pools, the world class golf course, and a brand new casino.

Where to eat:

The resort offers a ton of culinary options, we were there for 4 nights and got to enjoy several different spots for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For breakfast, we LOVED going to Cafe Madeline for delicious lattes and pastries– more of a ‘sit down’ and dine option. A couple mornings we were moving a little slower and just wanted to grab a coffee and head to the pool, so we just hit up the starbucks.

For lunch, we mostly just ate by the pool– they have the CUTEST food trucks right on the beach and shacks by the pier. One day we had pizza and mexican from the trucks on the beach, other days we did conch salad or poke bowls from the shacks by the pier.

For dinner we did Cleo, which was located right inside the SLS resort and such DELICIOUS Mediterranean cuisine. The next night we tried the Italian spot, Fi’lia, which was amazing– I’ve never met a pasta I didn’t like. We also ate at (my favorite): Katsuya, which was Japanese and AMAZING– here we just did a bunch of plates and shared. Basically, theres a restaurant for everyone on this property and they’re all very impressive.

Where to swim:

There are six pools on the property, so none of them are ever too crowded. Theres definitely more ‘kid friendly’ pools and then theres an adults only pool– an option for every type of vacationer. We loved both options, we spent every day at a different pool.. we really tried all of our options. We loved the pool with a swim up bar, but all of the pools were a blast. Theres a pool you can every jump off a cliff into the water from and one with an aquarium swim up spot– such cool and unique pool options. The Privilege Pool is the adult only pool and it is a BLAST– a must if you’re traveling with all adults. The music is great and the atmosphere is awesome.

Where to play:

There were tons of bars on the property, so you never had to go somewhere twice (unless you wanted to). We loved The Swimming Pig, it was like a sports bar vibe, and Monkey Bar (which was in out hotel), which had a cool lounge vibe. The Lynden was right in the center of the casino and BEAUTIFUL and Blue Note was a really cool jazz bar! Then, of course, theres a nightclub– Bond… which totally isn’t my scene and actually made me feel like a granny haha… but if you’re into that sorta vibe, it would be a blast– great music, dancing!
