Pre-Fall Outfit Guide: Featuring Sneakers

Sneakers are my favorite– I love them with denim, dresses, skirts, shorts… the works! They add a certain ‘laid back’ vibe to any look without looking sloppy, if done correctly. They are also a great transitional shoe, perfect for those days that start out a brisk 55 degrees and end up being a sweltering 90 by mid afternoon. I also am always one to layer, I’d rather schlep a jacket around all day than be cold for a second– so, a lot of these looks have a jacket.

I lovingly call this the cool girl who doesn’t try too hard. Bodysuits are a must for all seasons, but especially layering in the fall… no one one’s to look bulky and stuffed into their leather jacket.

Don’t look now, but I’ve styled another bodysuit! This look is perfect for right now– I’d even bring a denim jacket along in case it got cool (or if you go inside and the restaurant freezes you out, as per usual). I love these platform converse, they’re a twist on a classic and go with everything!

SOOO into polka dots these days and Golden Goose has killed it with this pair– that touch of red. Perfection. I also love this structured long vest, so cute with denim shorts now for a casual look and a pair of coating leggings later for a dressed up look. Again, this look calls for a bodysuit.

Oversized blazer. Bodysuit. Distressed denim. Leopard sneaker– it’s the perfect storm of fall goodness. Loving these sneakers and the touch of metallic! This bodysuit looks like a tucked in t-shirt without actually shoving half the shirt in your pants and making you look bloated. Genius.

Another look perfect for now! I love these fun glitter platform sneakers– especially with a flirty skirt! I liked this high waisted skirt with a slightly cropped plain tee and added a red belt bag to polish the look off!

The midi dress of my dreams! So flattering and hits at just the right spot on your shin! I love it laid with a structured suede jacket, giving this feminine dress a little edge. These sneakers tie the whole look together perfectly for a cool girl’s ‘day off’ style.

Nothing if more flattering that a wrap dress! I love edging feminine looks up with a casual sneaker– like these classic *with a twist* chucks! This look literally screams city chic!

A tired and true look for me and definitely a FAVORITE– structured blazers dressed down a la distressed denim and patterned vans. All polished off *and pulled together* by a form fitting body suit and accessories.

I can’t get enough of camo or joggers these days– so these pants are a dream for me! Love adding a graphic tee and classic sneakers to this look to keep is casual and comfy, while still super chic.

Another flattering wrap dress made casual and cool with a statement sneaker! I love these glitter platforms! Adding a leopard clutch keeps it unexpected and unique and I love that.

Vans are a must for me and always have been– I’ve worn them for the better part of a decade now. A great price point and such classics. I love these paired with a asymmetrical hem denim skirt and cropped top for a late summer look. I’d add a suede jacket for pre fall!

This cropped lightweight sweater is pre fall perfection!! I love it with these straight leg jeans and camo sneakers! Camo is basically a neutral in my household (as is leopard) so these are a no brainer for me.

Remember earlier when I said camo and leopard were neutrals in my eyes *see above*? Well, so is snakeskin. And when said snakeskin is a platform sneaker, well then, it also has to be mine. I love these paired with classic high rise skinnies and a solid black cropped top.

Boyfriend jeans are my new J A M. I used to be scared of them and thought they made me look fat… well, they do BUT it helps if you know how to style them. I typically go for a form fitting top and classic sneakers, you don’t want to be a whole lot all at once.

Like I was saying earlier, you don’t want to be a whole lot all at once… until you do. This outfit is over the top and I AM HERE FOR IT. It’s fun and a little funky and so something I would rock on vacation… I might get some stares trapsing around Lex in this, but don’t doubt me.

These joggers are SO MINE. And I have never met a glitter platform sneaker I didn’t like. Love these two looks together for a feminine take on these break away joggers. I love adding a graphic tee and fun embroidered bag to pull this look together.

No matter who you are, this look could work for you. Sometimes girls shy away from a sneaker look thinking they can’t pull them off– one: HI YOU CAN, DO YOU BOO BOO and 2– these are most things you already own… so buy the sneakers and enjoy being a cute sassy sneaker wearing cutie.

Last but not least– more leopard. more great denim. more leather jackets. HI THATS WHAT MY SOUL PROBABLY LOOKS LIKE. These sneakers a a fun calfskin– love (obviously, faux).
